Clean, big room with very good lighting. The mattress was very comfortable. The room has a beautiful view of local houses and garden with the refreshing sound of the river. There is an elevator. The staff were friendly and made every effort to make my stay a comfortable one. The mixed salad and baked fish fillet were excellent! I would stay there again.

We only used the restaurant, so we cant comment on the hotel itself. The food at the restaurant was nice, but the service was mostly terrible. To clarify; the waitress who took our order was friendly, but sadly we only ever saw her once. All other times we interacted with someone else and this predominantly shaped our experience: - When we arrived and asked if we could sit at any table outside, the waitress just gave us a dismissive nod and walked away. - When we asked whether they have any child seats we were pointed to some area to get it ourselves, no help offered at all. - Never got spoken to after we got our meal, I would have loved another drink or maybe even dessert, had I been given the chance to order anything. - Kind words were not used in sentences, dont expect any hello's, thank you's or good evenings.
A good place for a Swiss meal. The only issue was we were told the outdoor dining was full but they seated people there after us. It was strange. The schnitzel was good.
We had lunch there today (June 2025) - chose food from the lunch menu of the day. The latter was reasonably priced compared to the main menu. The food was delicious, the cocktails great and the service was amazing (forgot to get the lovely lady’s name). Walking distance from the Brienz train station and amazing views if you sit outside for lunch.
We dined only so no feedback on rooms. The meal wasn't cheap but it was a decent meal. We found better for less on our trip. Virtually no English was spoken here. FLIES FLIES FLIES!!! They were all over the outside eating area, and it was a real downer.
