The first Tavolata at the Brunner Winery in Eich was a resounding success. After a tour of the wine cellar with a white wine tasting, we were treated to an excellent meal prepared by a chef from the Kreuz restaurant in Emmen. The Mediterranean menu was accompanied by further excellent white and red wines. The setting, with the sunset over Lake Sempach and the vineyards, is breathtaking. The winemakers and the service were very friendly and efficient.

A winery in the Seetal region, on the border between the cantons of Aargau and Lucerne. They offer a wide range of wines and wine styles, with a focus on local and fungus-resistant varieties. Cristina and Matthias Brunner provide a warm welcome and expertly and passionately guide guests through tastings.

The directions to the Brunner winery were terrible. It's unacceptable to hear that the remaining bottle of Merlot is too old for tasting. The owner told her employee: "Don't open another bottle!" After this disappointment, my wine was purchased in the canton of Neuchâtel. There, the grapes are grown biodynamically without chemicals.

We were a small group of five. The tour and tasting were a lot of fun, and our host, Michi, took plenty of time for us and put a lot of effort into it. We had a fantastic experience and will be back.
