I was out looking for a place to rent for a family event... I arrived here in my VW T5 in the semidarkness and found a beautiful, quiet spot with a great view, a deserted parking lot next to the scout house. Great! I'll stay here until I'm fit enough to continue my journey. I won't disturb anyone here. The location is perfect, and so is the peace and quiet. And I've found a good spot for a family celebration. As always, I looked around the parking lot, knowing that parking might be prohibited. But there was nothing to be seen. Otherwise, I'd naturally look for another place. Of course. I don't want to do anything wrong. There are plenty of beautiful places where I'm allowed to be and am welcome. Because of my company, I travel a lot in my VW bus and also work in it. Again, I didn't see a sign or notice in the parking lot prohibiting me from being there. As always when I'm out and about, I collect cigarette butts and other trash that doesn't belong in the natural environment before I leave. This is my gratitude to nature and my respect for the place where I'm staying. Leaving a place at least as I found it is a given. In the morning, a car—a VW Caddy, I think—parked sideways behind my bus, making it impossible to drive away. And this despite the fact that there were plenty of parking spaces available. Even the first comment, before the non-existent greeting, was, well, "special." Mr. Töben (who sent me the warning for violating the court order), who is apparently in charge of the Scout camp, got out with a young man and continued to treat me like a criminal. No greeting, "What are you doing here? and "This is forbidden" "They're stealing our wood here" "Making a mess" "I'll report you for this and your misbehavior will cost you 40 CHF" and when I asked, he pointed to a small, inconspicuous sign on the house where this could be read. I said, "Good morning. It's a very beautiful place here. I didn't steal anything and, of course, I didn't see any signs prohibiting parking in the parking lot. "I was collecting trash and, of course, I didn't leave any there," I continued. The man left me standing there, along with his car behind mine, explained to the boy what he was supposed to do there, and then didn't even look at me again. Why, I ask myself, is this: Why is I, who has done nothing wrong and isn't aware of any guilt, treated so unkindly, standing sideways behind my car and accusing me of stealing wood? I am very sad and disappointed by such condescending behavior. I have paid the "fine for wild camping (which isn't true because I wasn't camping)" in the amount of CHF 52.50 and can only shake my head. The time to approach me calmly and with a friendly "Good afternoon" would have made the day and the situation more pleasant for all of us, and everyone would have felt better. Are you working for a Scout camp? You should be a role model for young people in the Scouts? Why do you behave like that towards people who don't want to harm you or have done anything bad to you? On the contrary, I wanted to hire the Scouts. Yes, a single woman, 35 years old, in a VW T5, yes Mr. Többen, they are the worst criminals of our time. That's what a classic burglar looks like. You have to intervene harshly and consistently. Anyone who treats other people as unfriendly as you do is not a role model and not a good landlord/host. Not for the children and young people in the Scouts and also not for renting a room. So, that's my short and impressive experience with the Wendelsee Scouts, which I will not be hiring and cannot recommend to anyone.
