Had a decent lunch on Monday. Fixed menu with a couple of different options. Interesting going past all the cars in the lift on the way up. Good views. Fairly busy.
A disaster from start to finish. This is my first "1-star review" for a restaurant, but this place truly doesn't deserve any. The service was mostly nonexistent, even though there were three servers, but only four other guests. Neither the server nor the cook knew what was on the menu. The excuse was that they had only opened on August 5th. The menu available online doesn't exist in the restaurant. Before the meal, the server placed a plate between us and said, "This is for the trash." She repeated it because I was speechless. The salad was mediocre at best, but the meat was tough and inedible. It was edible, yes, but I certainly can't call it enjoyable. Our complaint was handled well by the first server; she apologized and took the plate away. Then we heard a cursing voice from the kitchen. The second server came to our table and actually told me, "There's nothing wrong with the meat; they all tasted it, and that's how we ordered it." "Excuse me? Tough and inedible?" I asked. I made it perfectly clear to the server that I didn't want to argue, but she wouldn't let it go. She was practically making me feel stupid, as if I didn't know what an entrecote tasted like. We just wanted to leave. I've never been treated like that in a restaurant before. But the bill was delayed, like everything else. She finally put the bill on the table and left again. Of course, we were charged for everything. They only offered us coffee, but we didn't want to wait for that too. As we left the restaurant, my husband said, "We should have known better; the restaurant was practically empty, and yet it took them an hour to serve our food."
Delicious food. Cozy atmosphere. Friendly staff.
Delicious, fresh dishes. Pasta, pizza, burgers, and a variety of meat and fish dishes at reasonable prices. Good wine list. Friendly and efficient staff.
I've never experienced such service. The table reservation didn't work out, and after some back and forth and some very unfriendly words from the owner, we finally got a table. The owner's service was very unprofessional, even downright rude and completely inappropriate at times. After being asked three times to pay, we finally got up and paid at the register. The food was very good, but it was definitely our first and last visit there.
The location itself isn't bad. However, the staff is very poor. The service is terrible from start to finish. The arrogant way they treat customers is absolutely unacceptable. They themselves barely speak German, yet after politely asking for the bill, they resort to ethnic insults. The restaurant would be doing itself a huge favor by hiring new staff.
