Restaurant Oh de Vie - by Lenkerhof — Badstrasse 20, 3775 Lenk, Switzerland

We had a wonderful evening at Oh de Vie in Lenk. The atmosphere was warm and elegant, and the service attentive without being intrusive. We started with burrata accompanied by olives and tomato – fresh, creamy, and beautifully balanced – and a veal tartar with black truffle and Parmigiano, which was perfectly seasoned and full of depth. For the main courses, the Mediterranean red mullet with fregola sarda and chorizo was an excellent combination of texture and flavour, while the dry-aged duck with focaccia and carrots impressed with its tenderness and rich aroma. The absolute highlight, however, was the tiramisu – light, silky, and simply outstanding. Overall, a memorable dining experience with great attention to detail and creativity. A solid 4.5 stars and definitely worth a visit when in Lenk!

We were able to redeem the Smartbox voucher I received for my 60th birthday at Oh de Vie. Points-based restaurants aren't usually our thing, mainly because of the price. However, here we were truly spoiled, not only with the food but also with the service: very warm and welcoming. We would gladly recommend this restaurant.

Unfortunately, the service left much to be desired all evening. We usually had to refill our drinks ourselves, and when the staff did, it was always at every place setting, leaving drips on the tablecloth and even on the rim of the plate. The tables were never cleared. The plastic gloves from the cheese buffet remained on the table until the very end, even though no other guests were present. Instead of clearing our table or even asking if we wanted coffee, they preferred to reset the table. A disappointing evening, simply unprofessional for this price range.
