Excellent accomodation for people with disabilities, very wide automatic doors, accessible bathrooms etc. The staff are friendly and polite. Rooms are quite minimal, which I think is the Swiss German style. Don't expect tooth brushes provided or mints on your pillow. There is a safe in the closet which is appreciated. Room service is prompt, polite and keep the rooms in good order. The views are amazing, the nearby forest is beautiful and serene, the hotel is a manageable walk into the town of Männedorf, although the hill is quite steep. Unfortunately it's not the best for vegans. Dietary needs are not labelled at breakfast, and there isn't any plant milk. The staff were happy to store my plant milk in the fridge, and the grocery stores in town have a wide range of vegan ready meals. So it is manageable, just not ideal. Labels on the food and plant milk provided would make a big difference. The restaurant does have a vegan option, but it's uninspired. There is another restaurant a short walk away that is absolutely incredible, if you are vegan I would recommend strolling over there instead. The staff at Hotel Boldern are always friendly, kind and thoughtful, without being overbearing. Thank you for a lovely stay!
We spent a weekend break in this hotel / family with 4-years old son. Really great location with fantastic opportunities for walking, jogging and biking. Although it is only a 3. star hotel we felt very good. Superb diner with fabulous view …
They charged my aunt twice today on 27.08!!! We called today to get an explanation they said call your bank and bank verifies that it was charged twice !! They charged her once upon check in once upon check out. We called later evening again and the voice message says they are on holidays!!! I need a call back asap otherwise I will go to police. My aunt’s name is Sarah .
I spent few weeks in this hotel and I gotta say everything was fine. Very friendly staff, rooms and the whole hotel were quiet because the area is away from main streets and that’s just awesome to get a great rest. There is nice restaurant, bar and small fitness. Definitely worth it for every kind of your trip. Unfortunately no minibox or fridge in the room.

—Positive: The location and the view over the lake are the best of this hotel. Simply stunning. The staff was very friendly and diligent. The breakfast was correct, fresh food, nice coffee (appreciated). Free parking. Internet fast and easy to connect. —Negative: The rooms are very simple (maybe spartan is the best adjective) if you are looking for a luxurious stuff this isn't a place for you. Don't bother me at all, but is important for some people.
