STIHL GS 461 (Rock Cutter) – Very Disappointing Service I work as a sculptor and have had good experiences with STIHL woodworking tools. Unfortunately, the STIHL GS 461 rock cutter is a different story. The diamond chain broke several times. I then bought a new chain and bar (approx. CHF 600). Despite this, the chain broke again. I had the first defect repaired at a specialist dealer. After the second break, I took the tool to a STIHL representative in March 2025. Since then: months have passed, and I keep following up – the only response is "under investigation." In January 2026, I contacted STIHL in writing. I was told a specialist would get in touch. To this day (over a month later), that hasn't happened. Two weeks ago, I called again – they tried to transfer me, but the specialist was unavailable – and I still haven't received a call back. The device is urgently needed, but the process seems to me like stalling rather than finding a solution. It's a real shame – I expected significantly more reliability and customer service from STIHL.
