But best of all is the grocery shop with daily menus and fresh food for takeaway or an extensive choice of the best regional meat and cheese, bread, etc right by AutoBahn EXIT "Stans Süd" it took me many years to discover it, so enjoy its facilities like the locals, and if you know similar secrets, share them aswell! ;-)

For years now, I've been happily stopping at the Guetli Shop in Sarnen on my travels between Lausanne and Locarno, and I'm always gratified. Conveniently located two minutes from the highway, this establishment stands out for its genuine and friendly welcome, where the staff exudes a genuine hospitality rarely found today. The dishes offered are always carefully prepared and tasty, but what truly makes this place special is the selection of local specialties: authentic products from the regions surrounding Sarnen, which reflect the region and its traditions. A particularly noteworthy aspect is the quality-price ratio, which is significantly better than at typical highway rest stops. And I emphasize this: it's not just about lower prices, but—and I say this with sincere conviction—also about the overall better quality of the products offered. You can clearly sense that the owners run their business with genuine passion. This isn't a business operation optimized solely for profit, but rather a balanced approach, where customer satisfaction and quality are genuine priorities. A true example of a win-win philosophy.

I was served by a charming young man. A bit exotic, possibly from Thailand. I think his name was Nando. Very, very courteous and professional service. Please give him a raise. The petrol was okay.

Very friendly and attentive service. The product range could be improved; a survey among customers would be helpful to see what else could be added to the shop. Lunch is good. The car washes are very good and reasonably priced. It's a shame there's no sign indicating it's a gas station on the highway (regulations?). Opening hours are strictly adhered to. A stop here on a journey south or north is a good idea.
