We booked a hiking trek named "randonnée plaisir" (7 days) the 3 first days were great. We discovered Austria and the charming hostellerie, landscape and welcoming. Unfortunately the 4th day was a nightmare. The hotel was awful (no charm, poor food, restaurant closed, desk closed, murky, dirty).The hiking was closed at least 3 years ago already for all hike (not mentioned in Eurotrek road-book/application). The only advice was to take a parallel road full of traffic and without possibilities to walk beside (very dangerous especially with a dog). To be honest we have the feeling that Eurotrek is just a dealer and dont know really the products that he deals. We payed a large price to benefit of support and advices that don't exist (cost of hotel is around 1400€ and we paid more than 2200€ + extra night to replace the awful hotel). The only added value is the luggages transfer (but they broke 2 wheels of Delsey premium trolley) and the support of the hot line to book an acceptable hotel for the next night (at our own charge). When I read the answers of the Eurotrek's owner to people who lived the same bad experience and complain, this owner never recognizes Eurotrek mistakes (the starting point of improvement) and I have no illusion for a reimbursement.
FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE!!! The service they provide is nothing short of amazing - we had them do transfers for us for a 2 week hiking trip in Switzerland and everyday our luggage was waiting for us in our room by the time we hiked to our next destination. We never had to call/contact them - the baggage would just magically appear!! Highly recommend using them to take this part of your trip logistics off of your plate...
Just a few months ago, Eurotrek arranged the Barentrek trip for Diane, my wife and I. A 6-day hiking trip through the some of most amazing mountain passes in Switzerland. From the point we were picked up at the airport and dropped off to enjoy a beautiful day in Zurich to hiking up rugged trails, staying in delightful 4-star accommodations, enjoying tasty, hearty breakfast and returning to Zurich was all provided by a extremely helpful and cheerful staff. We were on our own, resting assured that at any time, Eurotrek was available. We are right now planning another vacation with them. I am recommending them to two of my friends.
