Nice ambiente, great food, good wine selection, service could be improved (very inexperienced waiters)
Chesa Seehof offers an extraordinary dining experience. The venison dish was a culinary masterpiece, with flavors that lingered delightfully. The restaurant's historical ambiance created a captivating backdrop, immersing diners in a bygone era. Attentive service complemented the delectable menu, enhancing the overall enjoyment. From the first bite to the last, Chesa Seehof proved to be a gastronomic journey through time, leaving a lasting impression. Whether you're a history enthusiast or a food connoisseur, this establishment seamlessly combines the best of both worlds. An unforgettable evening that I highly recommend to anyone seeking a perfect blend of exquisite flavors and cultural richness. Chesa Seehof truly stands out as a gem in the world of fine dining.
Unfortunately, despite the waitress's efforts, the dinner was a huge disappointment. The waiting time for the main course was over an hour, we didn't get one dessert. The food was average. The tables weren't cleaned regularly. It seems that there are too few staff and they don't keep up with their work.
Worst service ever !
Since the fifth star was awarded, it's been all downhill. We sat outside, and the club sandwich contained only cold cuts instead of cooked meat. Everything has gotten smaller – except the prices. The Aperol at the next table arrived in a far too small glass and tasted watery. There was only one server and one person clearing tables for the entire outdoor area, so we had to wait 25 minutes for our order. I've attached a picture from February 2024 for comparison. A real shame…
One of the best burgers I've eaten in Switzerland. The meat is 100% lean beef, thick and juicy. The portion of fries is very generous. In summer, only the terrace is worth a visit; the interior dining room has rather unappealing lighting.
