Hotel Meilenstein — Lotzwilstrasse 66, 4900 Langenthal, Switzerland

NOUVELLE AVIS : Nous avons séjourné ici il y a deux mois et avons vécu une expérience fabuleuse. J'ai écrit la critique ci-dessous que je laisse ici pour montrer le contraste. L'hôtel a de nouveaux propriétaires, semble-t-il, et ils nous ont donné une chambre très froide au premier étage le 29 octobre. Nous avons appelé la réception et ils ont mis un temps fou à nous trouver un radiateur et quand ils l'ont finalement fait, cela n'a pas fonctionné. À 2h30 du matin, j'étais prêt à partir et je suis descendu à la réception pour obtenir un remboursement et réserver un taxi. Le gars à la réception n'a pas émis le remboursement de la chambre et nous avons dû appeler Hotels.com pour le convaincre d'accepter. Un gars de cauchemar avec une attitude. Il a même dit à la dame au téléphone qu'il faisait chaud dehors et dans les chambres. Puis j'ai raconté à un mensonge comment ils avaient réservé 70 autres chambres et que personne d'autre ne s'était jamais plaint. C'est un grand bâtiment et ils économisent sur le chauffage tout en facturant 150 CHF et plus. Dommage de voir partir l'ancien propriétaire, ils avaient quelque chose de spécial ici. ANCIEN AVIS : Expérience géniale. Nous sommes restés une nuit et j'écris ceci depuis la table du petit-déjeuner. Nous avons pris le steak tomahawk au restaurant de l'hôtel après notre arrivée - une délicieuse dégustation. Le petit déjeuner était également très bon, avec des ingrédients frais, du jambon et du saumon de bonne qualité, ainsi qu'un large choix de plats et de chefs qui le préparaient. La chambre était impeccable, la douche incroyable et même en tant que femme, j'ai vraiment adoré l'ambiance des voitures classiques dans tout l'hôtel. Personnel très sympathique à la réception et nous avons eu un serveur adorable qui s'est occupé de nous.

L'hôtel est idéal pour une escale en route vers d'autres destinations. Grand parking, chambres joliment finies et personnel très sympathique. La collection de voitures exposée vaut le détour ; en tant que passionné d'automobile, j'ai même visité deux fois :). Y a-t-il quelque chose de négatif à dire ? Oui, il y en a. Le petit déjeuner aurait pu être plus frais. Cela ne convenait pas vraiment au cadre de l'hôtel et au prix.

Les bonnes chambres et l'environnement ne sont pas le meilleur endroit pour manger n'est pas bon. Je le recommande si vous ne restez pas ici pendant tout votre voyage, un peu loin de la ville.

First, the hotel has a bar right outside just at the entrance which plays really loud music starting after sunset. You would think they would have more of a calm & sophisticated vibe but this showed otherwise. At some point there was even really loud music audible all the way from our room in the upper floors at night until 1:00am. The rooms are spacious which was good, however they are really dusty. Besides, the rooms cannot be locked from the inside, meaning anyone from cleaning service can open the door from outside even though you’re in the room, which happened to us and they opened the door despite knowing that we were there. There was even a big spider web on the chairs outside in the terrace. Expected much more in terms of hygiene. Speaking of which, the terrace is not private there is just a small separating wall but once the person walks a bit to the front they can see all the rooms on that side of the floor. The museum was nice to see. The breakfast is quite average as there is not much variety for a 4 star hotel and some of the pastries were dry and the scrambled eggs were placed right next to the bacon in the buffet and some were using the same spatula to grab both which might not be a suitable option for anyone who doesn’t eat meat/bacon. One of the waitresses at breakfast was also really rude and never smiled at anyone. The ladies at the reception were really nice though.
