Hôtel Restaurant Morgarten : je suis venu pour la nourriture, je suis resté pour la vue, je me suis demandé si je devais emménager définitivement. Même ma fourchette semblait plus heureuse ici.
A ÉVITER : Serveuse extrêmement grossière. J'ai mangé des glaces ici à plusieurs reprises avec ma grand-mère. La glace est très bonne et ma grand-mère donne toujours un pourboire très généreux. Je suis donc venu rencontrer ici mon ami d'Angleterre qui me rendait visite pour lui montrer la belle Suisse et lui offrir de délicieuses glaces. J'avais avec moi un grand sac à dos avec des vêtements que je faisais pour donner à Ünterageri. J'ai dû aller aux toilettes parce que j'avais mangé des poires. La serveuse a été extrêmement désagréable lorsqu'elle m'a vu utiliser les toilettes. En raison de son extrême impolitesse, j'ai décidé que ce n'était pas une bonne représentation de la convivialité suisse et d'aller ailleurs, de ne jamais revenir dans cet endroit et de raconter également à ma grand-mère et à mes amis cette rencontre très grossière avec la serveuse. Et oui, c'était exactement ce restaurant, pas un autre. La serveuse avait entre 40 et 50 ans, elle était mince, grande et avait les cheveux courts. Elle m'a montré une tirelire verte et m'a dit d'y mettre de l'argent et elle t'a dit à haute voix que j'avais utilisé les toilettes. Bonne chance avec votre excuse selon laquelle ce n'était pas votre restaurant. A ÉVITER : Serveuse extrêmement grossière.
Nous avons trouvé ce petit hôtel terre-à-terre, très confortable et totalement relaxant. Nous avions une vue sur le lac depuis notre chambre et c'était absolument magnifique. La chambre était assez spacieuse et le balcon était un bonus. Tout était très propre. …
A friend and I were camping on the other side of the lake. We were in need of a late breakfast meal. We were greeted warmly even though I believe that the kitchen was closed, or at least was in the process of doing so. The server asked what we wanted and even with our language barrier (we live in Colorado, USA) she and the cook made sure that we were served exactly what we had asked for- and it was absolutely delicious. I loved the atmosphere, with a group of elderly local gentlemen enjoying themselves in this beautiful environment. We were so grateful. It was my first time visiting Switzerland, and I was very impressed with how friendly everyone was. I want to bring my husband to stay at this hotel for an extended visit in the future to explore the area more.
Stopped there on a Sunday evening at 20:00 and kindly asked to use the restroom before anything else since it was an emergency, they refused and asked us to drive further to the public toilet . The restaurant was empty, not a single guest there. We left in an hurry to find a toilet and didn’t even consider staying for dinner. I wished they would have been kinder to a woman in need .
The staff member made a disparaging face behind my partner's back after he very politely asked for the menu. She then actually threw my payment card onto the table dismissively when it didn't work (another card worked fine). I'm not sure whether she dislikes foreigners or all customers, but hospitality isn't her calling in life. It's a shame because the flammkuchen was lovely and the view was amazing.
