Dear Italian friends, The Denner in Pieterlen we knew is no longer the same. It's sad to see discrimination among different communities in Pieterlen. Everyone has the right to find their specialties in a store like Denner in Pieterlen, whether Italian, Balkan, Turkish, etc. But to eliminate Italian specialties to favor other ethnic groups is not normal for me. As an Italian living in Pieterlen, I now have to travel to Aarberg to buy what I want in terms of ITALIAN specialties. I used to praise this Denner, but not anymore. So to all the Italians reading this review, don't go to Denner in Pieterlen anymore! Yours, Papy Rapop

The worst Denner in Switzerland! Today I had a problem with a refund. The cashier (very nice and courteous) made a mistake and forgot to refund me some money. After realizing the error, I went back to the store, and the owner was truly rude. He mistreated me in front of all the customers (and even the poor cashier) and told me to complain immediately, not after a day (it had only been three or four hours since my purchase, and besides, I don't live nearby). He was rude, unfriendly, and very angry. Out of nerves, he tore up the receipts in front of everyone. A terrible experience, and I don't recommend anyone shop at that store. I feel so sorry for the cashier (very nice, personable, and friendly) who has to endure such a horrible manager (the poor girl almost cried), and I'm sorry I'll have to find another Denner that sells Italian goods (it's a shame it's the same owner in Aarberg). But I will never set foot in that store again! And I will advise my friends to do the same (sorry for my German, it's not my language).
