Hotel Silberhorn — Wengiboden 1347, 3823 Wengen BE, Switzerland

Wir waren vor kurzem im Hotel Silberhorn und wollten zum Ausdruck bringen, wie sehr uns alles an unserem Besuch gefallen hat. Das Hotel war außergewöhnlich sauber und das Personal war während unseres gesamten Aufenthalts unglaublich freundlich und zuvorkommend. Eine besondere Erwähnung verdient das Essen – es war absolut köstlich und hat unsere Erwartungen übertroffen! Wir haben sowohl das Frühstück als auch das Abendessen im Restaurant sehr genossen. Wir hatten eine fantastische Zeit und freuen uns schon darauf, in Zukunft wiederzukommen. Vielen Dank, dass Sie unsere Reise nach Lauterbrunnen so unvergesslich gemacht haben!

Excellent location right next to the Wengen train station and 1 minute from the Männlichen Lift. Very friendly staff. Very good choice at breakfast. I was in a single room. The furniture and bathroom were dated, however, the bed was very comfortable and the shower excellent. The hotel was also spotlessly clean throughout. Had a very enjoyable stay.

First, this hotel is in a great location, right across from the train station. However, it is old and in places appears to be held together by scotch tape. There is no sound proofing in the walls between rooms and you hear everything your neighbor is doing. Also there was no espresso machine (some instant coffee packs) or hair conditioner in the room. The towels were thin and scratchy. The drapes were old and the blackout portion didn’t cover the window. With no AC how do you cool your room while keeping out smoke, noise, light, etc? Sadly, I think the days of no AC are over. I’d be happy to leave windows open but there are too many air pollutants from people smoking (they allowed smoking on the balconies), outdoor grills and fire pits, fireworks, you name it. There’s noise and then security (probably no one would break in but you never know). I lost a full night’s sleep from these concerns. Breakfasts were ok but I’ve had better in Europe. The hotel has half board but dinners were nothing to rave about.

Very basic hotel , not many options in wengen anyhow. Location is great advantage as it's walkable from railway station. Rooms are ok with ver bad bed quality. Jungfrau views are stunning. I didn't like their cleaning sevice also as they don't change bed sheets rather just put them again. Breakfast spread was ok nothing great. Overall if u r getting at a good price go for it
