Tolle Kooperation!
My assessment of Mr. Irminger's statement regarding the duty-free allowance for purchases from abroad: I work for my money, and I alone decide what I do with it and where I spend it. In Germany, at Edeka, Kaufland, and DM, unlike at Migros, I find a genuine selection of products and am not pressured into buying Migros's laughable selection. Therefore, the duty-free allowance is completely irrelevant to me, and I will continue to do 90% of my shopping in Germany. The rest has been done through Migros online until now. However, after Mr. Irminger's statement, I will change this immediately! Sometimes it would be better if people just kept their mouths shut!
I received a senior citizen appointment card by mail, along with an offer to arrange a new card by phone if I lost my old one. This was confirmed in the letter. I've already missed two appointments and still haven't received my card. When I tried to order the card online, I got stuck entering my date of birth; it would have to be entered every month starting in 2023 – for senior citizens!! What I think of that is my own business, but I'm no longer surprised by Migros' service, although I used to be a die-hard Migros customer.
Shopping at Migros supermarkets in Bern is becoming a hassle. The selection is only adequate in the city center and at the Zähringer Migros, allowing you to buy all the items for a "normal" weekly shop. I can no longer consider my nearest branch. Two days ago, two items were out of stock and two others were only available with an expired date! Clearly, the branch is poorly managed. I had to buy the missing products at the Coop next door. It's high time Migros reorganized its supermarket operations.
