This email is in response to the recent surprise of a $8,500. Billing I received days ago. Does Novocure realize my wife is dying? We pay $80,000 per year for her Assisted Living home. Our retirement savings are burning like rocket fuel and you suddenly without any comment or warning send me bill for thousands of dollars? I spend my days sitting at home by myself buying diapers by the case of 250, ordering my wife’s many medications and doctors’ visits. Our discussions 3+ years ago with Novocure involved “at worst case” you might be required to pay $200 per month. That was 3 years ago and there Has been ZERO communications regarding any potential payments since then. No warning, no discussion, no offer for financial assistance NOTHING until you send the billing For Jan, Feb, March over a year ago ? What kind of operation are you running ? As I mentioned to the financial person on the phone, I am very upset. I was expecting someone to quickly tell me the billing was a mistake but no, I was told it was legit. How dare you surprise us like this. How insensitive for an action like this. I am strongly considering throwing the bill in the garbage and returning your devices back to you. I am very aware of what simple technology of OPTUNE, it’s basically elementary signal generation with a big battery. The technology is very simple and inexpensive, the head arrays I am sure are expensive. Turns out a large number of people on FB Novocure site are also very upset and scared they too will receive a surprise billing. Frankly, the damage you have done to your reputation is large. You have lost the trust we and apparently others had in the company. Best of luck to you keeping customers.
