Mr. Fuchs caused more damage than he helped us in just five weeks. It would have been better if he hadn't come at all. He essentially just smeared some clay plaster around; now practically every nook and cranny is unsightly. Everything looked much nicer before, with the clay base coat. His colleague (the flooring installer) did install the floor and stairs, but from an aesthetic point of view, it's far from satisfactory. We only chose Mr. Fuchs because we trusted him to finish everything before Christmas so we could move into the ground floor. Now the expensive new solid wood floor is scratched and damaged, the kitchen wasn't installed, all the walls are ugly, the exterior facade is still exposed, the decking boards aren't laid, the roof underlayment isn't sheathed, the windows aren't adjusted and sealed/insulated, the holes in the suspended ceilings inside aren't patched, the bathroom furniture/fittings aren't installed, and the floor, edges, electrical outlets, etc., are all smeared with clay plaster. It will now take another 2-3 months until everything is finished. We trusted Mr. Fuchs's quote – he assured us he would definitely complete it within that timeframe. He quoted CHF 24,866. Now, additional costs of CHF 16,738 will be incurred. Only about a third of the work has been completed. For this, we are supposed to pay CHF 24,742.40, which is exactly 100% of the quoted amount for ALL services? We were not prepared to pay this amount for such shoddy work. Mr. Fuchs is a self-proclaimed all-rounder who has no formal training in the trades he offered. This is evident in the results, and the time he spent on the work is anything but professional. He has a severely distorted perception of his own competence.
