This is a review for the restaurant. The staff friendliness is not consistently friendly. It depends on who is serving you and/or how busy they are. The coffee and food is okay. The prices don’t justify the food quality but since they are the only restaurant in this area, one has to settle for mediocre food and less than mediocre service. Cannot beat the location though. So my recommendation is to bring a picnic basket and have it sitting down at the various places to eat all along the shore.
Our dinner was absolutely delicious! We got the chicken breast and the lava burger (cheese on top that melts with fire!!!) I was blowing away by the presentation of the food, and was even more tired to find the food to be so yummy! I think I’ve had the best fries of my entire life and out of every single country and restaurant I’ve ever visited. Rooms were on the second floor of the restaurant. It was clean and convenient. Just so you know, there’s no AC, no soap, shampoo. So make sure to bring your own. Bed was comfortable.
This is a fantastic restaurant but the rooms are simply not of the quality to match the location or food! Style over substance; no real soundproofing, curtains that sit 20cm from the window so that light gets in and having to walk into the …
Only went for brunch, but that didn't disappoint. Proper Eggs Benedict, good coffee, excellent Gipfeli (croissants), and everything served with a smile . The location by the lake is unbeatable, too. Highly recommended!
It was closed when we were there in the morning, but also possibly because it was out of season. I understand people do swim there (hence the name) but it was far too cold when we were there for anything like that!
Food is great, service needs some improvement. Be aware of slow processing of your order. Bit the quality of the food and coffee is really good (once you receive it 😄)
