Very convenient location, lakefront. Perfect stopover on the way from Germany to/from Italy. Restaurant serves classic dishes from noon to late. I really enjoyed it. The rooms are rustic, but not overpriced.
We had a short pit stop in Switzerland 🇨🇭 during our drive, and it was a nice little break in the middle of the trip. We stopped near Lake Lucerne, which gave us a great spot to sit down and relax for a bit. The view of the lake with the mountains in the background was really beautiful, and it made the stop feel extra special even though it was just for a drink and dessert. We decided to try the apple cake 🍏🍰 along with a drink. The cake was tasty and just right — not too sweet, not too heavy, which made it perfect for a quick stop. It felt good to enjoy something simple while sitting by the lake and watching the calm water. It wasn’t anything fancy, but it gave us exactly what we needed: a short pause, some energy, and a bit of peace before continuing our journey. The only downside, like always in Switzerland, is the price. Everything here feels a bit expensive, even just for a small snack and drink. Luckily, we managed to find free parking near a supermarket, which was a nice surprise and saved us a few extra francs. Overall, it was a short but very pleasant stop, and it reminded us that sometimes the little breaks along the way can be just as nice as the big destinations.
Won’t stay here again and our trip company should remove them from their list as there are many other more than adequate places to stay in the area. Worst room I’ve stayed in since college days ( >50 years), tiny bath room with icky shower. Location is great for this tired building. Dinner was nice as were the wait staff
We came here late evening for Dinner and really enjoyed Spring menu. Service was super friendly,our main courses delicious Asparagus with local poulet and Dessert rabarber parfait with fresh strawberry's is definitely can be recommended. I also received good local wine .Price is more than affordable .Lake view from dining room made our spontaneous dinner to something special. About hotels rooms i can't say anything. We came here only for dinner. Welcoming and friendly location.
We had a great meal at Restaurant Rossli - excellent food (the fresh fish and chicken curry were both wonderful) with a wonderful table on the lake. Service was friendly and food and drinks came quickly. Great spot in a beautiful town on Lake Lucerne!
