We had an excellent dinner at Gasthof Bären in Eggiwil last summer. I had some spicy meat with mushrooms and röesti, which were delicious.

If you want to enjoy good food, friendly service at reasonable prices, you just have to get off the beaten tracks and avoid the touristy hot spots. Then you might find yourself in a place like the Bären Eggiwil. Go for it - it will be worth any detour.
