At higher altitude, Engelberg had much more snow cover a week before xmas recently than some of the other places we visited as part of our Tour. Horse carriage ride through the village is a must do & we visited a dairy farm near the Ski run for cheese tasting + fondue which was also a real treat. Great visit for a few hours in winter at Engelberg! The Northern Alps is not just located in Switzerland folks...Austria & Italy has more of it - just as lovely & cheaper! ππ Beautiful as Switzerland is- the environmental degradation is just painful to see though of course I enjoyed the good bits too. Engelberg is one of them! πΌπΌ
Engelberg village in Switzerland is breathtakingly beautiful, with charming wooden houses set in a peaceful green valley. In the distance, Mount Titlis rises majestically with its snow-covered peak, creating a pure, fresh, and unforgettable alpine scenery.
. Engelberg is one of the magical places in Switzerland, in summer an ideal location for tourists and cyclists, in winter for skiers. You can reach a high waterfall through a long valley, where you have to leave your car and continue on foot or by local transport. But you can also take the cable car up. There are several smaller waterfalls along the way through the valley. One of them is opposite the Wasserfall restaurant, hence its name, where they have great food, considering that we had already had lunch, we had a smaller meal and both were excellent. The service was very friendly and always available.
Wonderful experience, beautiful nature from Gondola, and by train from Lauterbraunen to Zoongfrau and from Grindelwald to Mt TItlis, Ice flier and amidst Alps surrounding me
Enjoyed a lot here, especially slipping on ice π§ when going uphill. Preferably, go to Mount Titlis wearing shoes with a good grip. At 3020 meter altitude the view was amazing π€© Rope ride was comfortable and quick, no waiting (maybe as it was weekday). Even the view from the cable car was very much worth it! β¦
A must visit place in lifetime. Tourists can reach Engleberg by train to visit this place. There are plenty of hotels here. The scenic beauty is not to be missed. Cable car ride is both joyful and adventurous (as I am 64 now) as the ride takes you to 3200 meters high.
