Excellent service from one of the workers (Asian/ Indian guy) who worked tirelessly to get me a decent plate of Halal food (egg and chips :) ). Clean, spacious restaurant area with clean toilets. Well positioned and placed for visitors.
The service is good, however the food is not what you would expect. (Judge by the pictures of what an schnitzel is in this restaurant) We ordered 2 schnitzel and that is what we got. 2 slim slices of pork that was over cooked and therefore dry 😞 on top they served one and the second one almost 10 mins later so we hay to eat at different times. We paid around 28CHF for each plate. Definitely not recommended for eating. On the The place has nice views and for a coffee will be fine.
Great place on the bottom of the impressive Stein-glacier. As the mountain pass road leads straight to the restaurant and hotel, the place is vivid with both, mountaineers (wo use this as a basis for their high alpine tours), bikers and other ordinary tourists. The kitchen is really good, offering a wide range of traditional Swiss foods and dishes. I really like to stop there with my guests when I am on an alpine helicopter tour….

Very nice restaurant, great environment , nearby snow mountains, attractive dishes, ham , cheese , pasta, soups, smooth sorbets, all makes it perfectly good !
The Alpine Lodge has a rustic alpine charm, friendly and personal service and delectable selection locally made pastries. A place to stop by!
