Since October 2024, I've owned an ISY bike with a Pinion gearbox and FIT control system—a really expensive machine. Unfortunately, I'm constantly having problems with the control system, and it shuts down while riding, which is incredibly annoying when you're climbing a hill or suddenly find yourself without lights in a tunnel. Last week, I experienced 20 such failures on a 10 km stretch! Today, I went back to my dealer (Simus Bike-Shop in Halten, highly recommended), and he took my problem very seriously and submitted another ticket to FIT in Huttwil. Since I spend a large part of the year traveling around Europe with my ISY in my camper van, I sincerely hope that FIT addresses the problem as quickly as possible and presents a solution! Another drawback is that after every software update, the saved data is lost, and everything has to be reprogrammed. ... Unfortunately, I cannot currently recommend the FIT system... Update from January 22, 2026: FIT contacted the dealer one day after the review was published and raised the urgency level from 4 to "high." They stated they would do everything possible to get my ISY roadworthy as soon as possible, so I've corrected my rating from 1 to 3 stars. Update from February 5, 2026: FIT and Pinion have done everything possible to get my ISY roadworthy. The bike is back with me with replaced components, including the motor and transmission. My dealer (Simu's Bikeshop in Halten) did a fantastic job. The bike will soon be coming with me to Ireland, and we'll see how it performs there... I'm correcting my star rating from 3 to 5.
Satisfactory customer service is different. As a dealer, you can create tickets, but sometimes you wait several days or weeks for a response. There's no phone support, and you're referred to the chat. Unfortunately, there's no immediate help there either. Pretty inconvenient when you have customers breathing down your neck who depend on a functioning bike. Hopefully, something will change with the acquisition by Pinion... The 2024 in-person course in Huttwil wasn't worth much. Information for daily use or a hands-on experience? Out of place. Addendum: After an informative conversation with Pierre Bischoff from Biketec, some of my points have been put into perspective. Thank you very much for taking the time to clarify the situation. ;)
My Delite 5 with E1.12 fuel suffered engine failure after 140 km. My dealer has been waiting for 5 business days for a response to the ticket. This is unacceptable in this price range.
I am completely dissatisfied with this company's customer service. I bought my e-bike from a dealer in Munich and used it in Chemnitz with the Fit app as an additional theft deterrent. Since the app stopped registering my bike, I can no longer use it. The recommended "specialist dealer" couldn't help me, and for the third time now, all I've received from Biketec via email—the only way to communicate—is an acknowledgment of receipt. I haven't received any help for weeks. I feel utterly abandoned. Anyone wanting to buy a new bike should definitely look elsewhere. Addendum to the review: The seller's response may be factually correct. I've now received four emails, some of which contradict each other. The problem hasn't been solved; they've just been skirting around it. After five (!) weeks, I still can't use the bike. I'm curious to see when someone will actually address this. Probably my lawyer…
I had purchased a BULLS VUCA EVO FSX 1 from a small dealer in Dresden, which had to file for bankruptcy shortly thereafter. Unfortunately, my bike wouldn't start after a short time, leaving me helpless with a dead e-bike (without on-site service). Mr. Serkan Gürler (BikeTec Field Support) called me (!!) and spent over 30 minutes explaining my problem in detail. He then referred me to STADLER in Chemnitz and recommended their excellent support. When I called the next day, Mr. O. Kunz (Workshop Manager) had already been informed of my problem by Mr. Gürler. He and his team graciously took over the service on my bike and replaced all the electronic components. BikeTec (with Mr. Gürler's strong involvement) also replaced the incorrectly delivered battery (low capacity) with a larger and therefore much more expensive one. (I couldn't prove the incorrect delivery because all the order documents were with the insolvency administrator.) I hadn't dared hope for such extreme goodwill from BikeTec. Within just one week, all the new parts were delivered, installed, and I was able to take delivery of my fully functional super bike again. I will continue to buy my bikes from BikeTec in the future. Awesome job and thank you very much, Mr. Gürler!
After a faulty display and its replacement, nothing works anymore. I can't even unlock the bike with my mobile phone. I've been waiting in vain for someone to contact you. No one is getting back to me. My dealer can't do anything more and is referring me to you. Please set up a hotline for cases like this, as it's incredibly frustrating to have to wait and wait and wait. I'm also wondering if my dealer is simply being lazy and referring me to you without having any idea what's going on.
