WE LOVED THIS PLACE! Amazing views, space, ambience, and host. Have done roughly 60 vaca rentals around the world (and I don't skimp), even a canal boat in Amsterdam doesn't compare to Chalet Baba.
We will never forget the breath taking view of snow capped Jungfrau and Silberhorn from the back deck! Our family of four stayed for three nights in the super cute Leo apartment. It's a 15 min hike above Wengen, which is very doable when the weather is nice. when it rained, we used taxi, which was CHF 25-28 each way, cash only. We are so glad that we stayed at Leo, a genuine, updated 100-year-old Swiss chalet, like dream comes true. Very comfortable, very clean, with modern appliances so we cooked our own meals and saved $$$. the Coop grocery store in Wengen had everything we needed to cook. Our two adult kids just LOVED the bedroom loft, where you can wake up and, without leaving your comfortable bed, admire in awe the glory of the Bernese Oberland. If you come to Switzerland to see the Alps, there is no better town to stay in than Wengen, and there is no better place to stay in than Chalet Baba. it's as close to experiencing Switzerland as it gets.
The middle flat is very charming and is thoroughly equipped by the owners with love and flair. The large terrace provides gorgeous views on some of the most famous Swiss mountains. We felt at home instantly and can recommend it for spending relaxing and peaceful holidays.
Petra was a terrible host. AVOID
Very nice apartment. It's located a bit outside the village, but is easily accessible on foot. The slopes are nearby, so you can almost ski right up to the house.
