The hotel is great place to stay and explore the real Swiss experience. Hotel's location is perfect and so are facilities provided. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. The food is really good and so is the bar. Above all, it's a great place for tourists to visit. We thank the hotel staff to make our stay really memorable.
Where to start? Nobody at reception, after a few minutes' wait, we call the mobile number we've given, and someone tells us they'll be there in 10 minutes. We wait another 30 minutes. We were finally given a room on the 3rd floor (even though the hotel was empty), and the room was spartan: no bedside lamp, unusable fridge, no bedside table, and above all no shutters or blinds on the window. The comforters weren't very clean either, and we had to shake them out... No towels either, so we called the same number several times, each time we were told that someone would come in 10 minutes, and we had to wait 45 minutes before getting our towels and being able to take a shower... I strongly advise against this.
It’s like living in a part of history itself as the Hotel was originally built in 1665, few years after the famous Taj Mahal ! Now endowed with all modern facilities but retaining the traditional Swiss Charm. Great location, really pleasant and clean rooms, but the thing that makes this such a good place to stay are the staff. All of the people are incredibly helpful and generous with their time and advice. The cook prepared excellent authentic Indian Food on our request. We travelled as a team and found that this was one of the nicest places we stayed in the entire duration of our stay of two weeks in Europe. It’s a must visit recommendation for anyone wishes to enjoy off-beat real authentic Swiss countryside away from hustle bustle of crowds of tourists and big cities. Thanks for making our visit to Switzerland that much better.
The prices are very affordable compare to others around. The staff is friendly, while rooms are very clean. I was impressed of having a great restaurant inside the hotel, plus a bar, and business corner to work remotely, or just follow up my emails. A great place to stay.
