Beautiful location with amazing views of Lake Oeschinen and the mountains. The food was tasty and portions were generous – we tried Swiss specialties, pasta, burger with fries, cheese plate, and fresh bread, all very good. Perfect place to relax and enjoy a meal with a stunning view. Highly recommended when visiting Oeschinen Lake!
Decent cafe/restaurant with a terrace - the terrace overlooks the lake so the view is great. Food's alright for an alpine joint: soup was was average, pies were better. Choice of some other dishes too. Open in winter, which was great.
We ordered 2 entrees, a coffee, and one pastries ( apple truffle ). The lamb was quite good. The vegetable was very fresh. The store claimed they grow their own vegetable and raise their own animal - so I don't know if that is the reason why the texture and flavors are better. However, the price is the same else where as you expected but 4 stars because it is self served! I would dine in again just because of the quality and the view of the lake.
A traditional Swiss restaurant by the side of lake Oeschinensee The view is magnificent. Even the lake was frozen, the view is mind-blowing. We ordered a cheese charcuterie plate with beer and wine, and it was delicious. The staff were very friendly and kind, especially Barbara 🥰. She knows how to take care her clients. Keep up the great work and service, Barbara. We didnt order their main because we were full from breakfast, but seeing the other clients eating, their food looked delicious 😋. I highly recommend dropping by the restaurant for pitch stop before venturing into the lake!
Awesome views. It’s a self serving restaurant. Although the food was a bit pricey, we enjoyed our meal.
We had a great dining experience at the restaurant of Berghotel Oeschinensee. The food was delicious - we tried the Planted Burger, a homemade lentil burger served in a sesame bun with onion confit, jalapeños, and a unique apricot-zurrin mayonnaise. It came with a generous portion of French fries and was full of flavor. The restaurant operates on a self-service basis, which was efficient and easy to navigate. However, prices are on the higher side — each burger cost around CHF 26, and a bottle of water was CHF 5.50. Despite the cost, the quality of the food and the beautiful mountain and lake setting made it a memorable stop.
