Very disappointing experience on Helvetic Airways flight LX1027 (21.11.2025). The flight attendant XX treated me disrespectfully, moved me unnecessarily to the last row despite empty seats in front, and even dropped a water bottle on my leg without apologizing. I submitted an official complaint weeks ago, but the case is still delayed without a clear resolution. This level of service and the slow handling of complaints is unacceptable for a European airline.

Certainly! Here’s a review for a disappointing experience with Helvetic Airways: I recently flew with Helvetic Airways, and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. The most striking issue was the condition of the plane—it was incredibly old and shabby. From the moment I boarded, it was clear that the aircraft had seen better days. The seats were worn out and uncomfortable, with upholstery that looked like it hadn’t been updated in years. The overhead compartments were scuffed and barely closed properly, which made me concerned about the safety of my luggage. The interior of the plane was outdated and lacked the amenities that many other airlines offer Despite the best efforts of the flight attendants, who were courteous and tried to be helpful, the overall experience was marred by the poor condition of the plane. It’s disappointing to see an airline operating with such outdated and poorly maintained aircraft, especially when safety and comfort should be top priorities. I would not recommend flying with Helvetic Airways until they update their fleet and improve their maintenance standards. There are many other airlines that offer far better experiences for the same price range.

09-11-2024 I booked my ticket AMS-ZHR-ATH-ZHR-AMS through lufthansa.com and my returnflight to AMS via ZHR was operated by Helvetic Airways from ATH to ZHR and from ZHR to AMS with Swiss. This review is about the flight from ATH to ZHR. It was LX 1831 on 09-11-2024, I was flying on 1A in Business Class and our purser was Erika. Lufthansa lounge in Athens was (again) a perfect experience, as well as the pre-boarding process. The boarding was very smooth. Being in business class we got preference in boarding. On board service was top class. The flight departed and landed earlier in Zürich than planned. Worth flying! Immediately after coming in, Erika greeted me and offered me a pillow and blanket. She was from beginning to the end of the flight most kind and friendly. As soon as possible after take-off Erika started with the drinks and food. I pre-ordered my food and got exactly what I ordered. Everything was carefully put and organised on the tray. Bread was fresh and warm and offered more than two times! Food was hot and very fresh. During the meal she offered many drinks, as well as extra desserts and I even got a bottle of champagne with chocolate. During the entire flight she asked me if I had further wishes. Before dinner there was champagne and after dinner wine and cognac with chocolate. The 2:30 hours went too fast, as I enjoyed this flight to the max. Erika makes flying in Business like it should be! She saw I was enjoying the flight and offered the best she could. Swiss Catering offered great food and in good portions, tasty and with high class quality. Before landing she communicated personally my connecting flight. Also the rest of the staff took care of me, assisting their purser: they were all enjoying doing their job! There was even onboard duty free, even in 2024! Most Star Alliance flights are very good. I have travelled a lot with Lufthansa, Lufthansa Cityline, Austrian and Swiss. On this flight Erika made a huge difference! Please greet her from me, give her your compliments as she deserves to be rewarded: she made the Swiss cross on the tail standing for boutique and superb service! Will definitely fly Helvetic again and will recomend it as much as possible. Congratulations! For a tall person, this is one of the very worst airlines out there for seat comfort. Legroom is a joke, it's the only airline except Wizz where my legs don't really fit between the seats and I have to basically force them in a bit. Also seats on new Embraer aircraft are very short and don't provide any head support at all if you're tall. Most low costs have visibly more seat space and better seat comfort than this. Swiss is ok in those terms, only Helvetic squeezes people into those planes like sardines into the can. Service etc ok, but for a tall person amount of space is a joke.

Pretty always late 😔 seat selection terrible…. Paid 600CHF for a flight from Zürich to Prag (55min) and still could not change my seat….. highly not recommended! …

Old planes, boarding by bus, completely different level of experience in comparison to Swiss, avoid it at any price
