Top Service!
We had a broken washing machine, and since we already had a local service provider, it was clear we'd call them. Although they weren't accepting new customers, we still got an appointment in 10 days. That wasn't a problem; we could still do laundry. The service technician was friendly but mentioned that such a defect usually only occurs after at least 15 years or with a lot of limescale buildup. However, with our water softener, there was hardly any limescale, which he confirmed. He said it was probably a faulty unit and referred us to the manufacturer. Ultimately, we received a quote for replacing a 6-year-old washing machine. The cost of a repair wasn't specified. As suggested, we contacted the manufacturer, who sent a technician, assessed the problem as normal wear and tear, and we received a reasonable quote for the repair (far, far less than the cost of a new machine). We then contacted Wikisa to inform them that we would not accept the quote. This was noted with a simple "I'll make a note of it," and we received the invoice for the expenses immediately. For the first time since we built our house six years ago, we are dissatisfied with a local supplier. It seems their sole aim is to sell us new equipment. Edit 20.1.26: Dear Wikisa, We can guarantee that there has been no mix-up. As far as we are concerned, the matter is settled, and the invoice for your expenses (CHF 137.30) has been paid.
They charge their customers €97 for replacing a freezer door, even though they know perfectly well it's a design flaw. Here's a quote from an email I received from the Wikisa CEO: "Between 2015 and 2017, we installed this model (with this freezer door) 142 times. In the 10 years since the first installation, we've only ordered the freezer door 92 times." (He was trying to tell me that the door has only broken 0.7 times for his average customer, not three times like ours.) PS: @Wikisa AG: It's a shame you still haven't grasped this. It's not really about the price, but about the fact that you could have found a solution with the manufacturer from the beginning, i.e., convinced them to be accommodating. You both knew for 10 years that this thing breaks down very frequently. ``` @All review readers: Yes, it's true, after a long fuss, they finally canceled the invoice via a cheeky email. But what about the other 91 customers? I'm one of them, since ours has broken down several times already. By the way: If there are any problems, Wikisa refers you to the manufacturer. So why not, dear review readers, get a better picture and read some reviews of Bauknecht, the company that sells the Wikisa appliances?... Haha! HAHAHA!
Competent – highly skilled – very friendly – efficient – solution-oriented… etc. – what more could you want?!? …and the fact that freezer latches fail quite often is neither a manufacturing defect nor a retailer's problem! It's simply wear and tear from almost daily use and a fully packed freezer compartment ;-)
Appointment was arranged quickly, and the service mechanic was friendly and competent. Unfortunately, the older GSP model could no longer be repaired because spare parts were no longer available. Thank you very much for your goodwill 👍 …
A specialist company with very friendly staff. Working with them is a real pleasure! Thank you! 100% recommendation!
