Beautiful old-time charm blending with modern luxuries! Rooms are comfortable and the views are stunning! Good sauna area along with lake access. Great food and wonderful restaurant of the hotel! Highly recommend!!
A truly enchanting stay at Schloss‑Hotel Merlischachen! Nestled directly on the shores of Lake Lucerne, the location offers breathtaking vistas and immediate access to the water—from the private lawn or sun terrace, lake mornings were an absolute dream . The hotel’s charming chalet-style architecture, embraced by forested hills and elegant design, felt both cozy and refined. Our room was spacious, meticulously clean, and beautifully appointed with comfortable bedding and a small balcony overlooking the lake—a perfect blend of traditional Swiss charm and modern amenities . We loved starting each day with a delicious breakfast served in the Swiss‑Chalet restaurant: fresh breads, regional cheeses, made-to-order eggs, and delightful coffee by the lake . The sauna, indoor pool, and private lakeside access create a serene retreat, while free parking, Wi‑Fi, and attentive service added extra comfort . The staff were unfailingly friendly and helpful, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. If you’re looking for a tranquil Swiss lakeside escape with genuine hospitality and a touch of elegance, Schloss‑Hotel Merlischachen is a perfect choice. We can’t wait to return!
Second hôtel of our road trip in central Switzerland.|We booked the Swiss-chalet on the hotel website with very good deal and pre-paid our overnight stay, with the objective to spend a night in a typical Swiss timber chalet.|We drove in the …
Nice hotel, very old, cozy atmosphere, I was pleased with my visit…But what I didn't like was that the workers were making a lot of noise and you couldn't just enjoy the silence and relax. And the dishes in the restaurant are oversalted, you should take this into account.
A really picturesque hotel on the banks of lake Lucerne. Check-in was good with everything explained fully and we were given a handy little map of the area. We had a lake view room which is well worth paying for! The only downside was that we arrived during extreme heat and whilst they provided a fan it simply moved around hot air and didn't really cool but I can't deduct stars for that. The hotel has a private garden with direct access to the lake which is great. Next time we're in Switzerland we'll be staying here.
Room with view to the lake but got view to the parking. Also, vacuuming at 7:30 am on weekends? 🥲 This makes it really noisy due to the cars, and you cannot sleep. Besides of that, the private beach is magnificent!
