The funicular connects Saint-Imier and Mont Soleil. It is worth visiting at least in order to see fields of yellow daffodils in spring.
We did not take it but saw it from our hike down the same path where it goes. They have bikes at the top of it so you can do a tour and enjoy the view (without having to suffer the hike up!). The faculty is clean and not busy but the weather was rainy so I assume it gets crowded when the sun is out
Nice place, I tried mountain biking here three times in the past four years. Extremely wonderful. Recommend this to everyone who enjoys biking and nature.
Nice little trip up to Mont-Soleil. You can take your mountain bike up with the train and ride down the mountain.
Good view of St Imier and foresty mountains on the way.
