Update: Baumann & Co. are highly recommended; we would hire them again without hesitation. In spring 2024, we renovated a 35-year-old bathroom with six different companies involved, and Baumann & Co. coordinated everything superbly. All the plumbing work was carried out perfectly by Baumann & Co., some of it precisely to size. All the other companies involved were top-notch, but I will write separate reviews for each of them. All in all, the new bathroom turned out perfectly, and they made the most of the space. We have had nothing but positive experiences with Baumann & Co. over the years. We had Baumann & Co. at our house twice this year, and both times they did excellent and very precise work. First, they replaced the blocked valve heads, and second, they replaced two connectors on our nearly 35-year-old zinc-steel water pipes, which had hairline cracks and visible pitting corrosion. They also replaced the old, worn-out pressure reducer. All zinc-plated steel pipes and fittings were replaced with Geberit stainless steel pipes and fittings; all other new parts are entirely Swiss-made quality components. Mr. Rohrbach performed very clean and excellent work both times, and it's immediately clear that you're dealing with a highly experienced professional. We are now completely worry-free regarding our plumbing for at least the next 30 years. I found the invoice to be perfectly reasonable, understandable, and fair. I came across P. Baumann's website while we were planning a new bathroom. The site immediately appealed to us, so we contacted them. We've now had our new bathroom for about a month, exactly as we envisioned it. A minor flaw that wasn't quite to our liking was promptly replaced free of charge. Even though he knew we didn't live in his area and would be using our own plumber, he was interested in our project. Mr. Maurer (the managing director) sold me a defective oven without mentioning this in the advertisement. After I discovered the defect, he refused any solution, not even a 50/50 split of the repair costs. I recommend not doing business with scammers. Reply to the answer below: Mr. Maurer wrote before the sale that there were no problems with the appliance. He also claimed that the appliance came from his own kitchen, so it was impossible that he hadn't known about the defect.
