Good breakfast and location is perfect next to the train station. It's clean as well. Matrasses were not very comfy though, felt a bit like sleeping on wood. But for this price in Switzerland I think it's very decent.
Communal bathrooms and showers and you pay extra for towels. Very clean. Location on the lake is gorgeous. Extremely peaceful
My child and I had a wonderful stay here in June 2023-- the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, the location is lovely-- right on the lake-- and the breakfast is fabulous. A previous reviewer commented on the breakfast not being sustainable in its focus on dairy and meat, but the food is all very responsibly and thoughtfully sourced. This is a unique location in a former silk factory and full of atmosphere and charm.
Had an amazing stay at the youth hostel in Zurich. The lake views were incredible. The rooms were very minimal, a mirror and more power points would have been nice but we got by. Free breakfast in the morning is a bonus. Location is out of …
My wife and I enjoyed a weekend stay here in 2014. The room was clean, the views beautiful and the breakfast provided was delicious. The coffee shop provided a great place to read and hang out. The hostel is on the lake side trail which makes for easy walks or run. In addition it is on the train line in to the city.
The view is simply awesome. Its Havenly beauty. The neighborhood is very quiet. The train station is within walking distance. Rooms and bathrooms are very clean with magnificent natural view. However, for checking in you will have to wait until five in the afternoon like many other youth hostels; count this as negative.
