The Pearl of Rigi! I can’t remember the last time I encountered a hotel quite like Bergsonne in Switzerland! From the moment we arrived up in Rigi, it was effortlessly easy to get to the hotel, just a short walk from the cable car or train station. Plus, you can reach from the hotel the famous thermal bath there in no time, making it the perfect base for relaxation. But what really stole the show was the view of the lake from the hotel. It was simply magical. I can only imagine how beautiful sitting on the terrace in the summer. Inside, the warm, cozy wooden style invited us to stay forever. And then, the restaurant… oh, the restaurant! We indulged in a five-course dinner feast that kept surprising us with delicate flavors, each bite better than the last. But the ice on the cake was the warm, welcoming spirit of the owner that gave the stay its special charm. He turned a simple visit into a feeling of home, and I can’t wait to return.
We had a wonderful stay at the hotel! Andre was such a great host. It is conveniently located about 5 minutes from the thermal bath. The rooms are spatious and clean. The dinner was an exquisit, 5 courses, experience. At the end of the dinner the chef passed by the tables and interacted with everyone. The continental breakfast was fresh and diverse. It is worth booking your stay directly through their system where you can book with dinner and breakfast included.
Stunning mountain hotel with incredible views. We booked the room with balcony and hot tub and sat and viewed beautiful lake and valley. It is five minute walk from cable car station Rigi Kabalt up a fairly steep hill so would not recommend …
We stayed at Hotel Bergsonne for two nights as a family with two small kids just after Christmas. We had a very warm welcome and Andre and his team looked after us very well! The breakfast and dinner were great and the team was very helpful in arranging for us to get food early so that we could bring our kids to bed in time. All in all, very recommended! We will be returning!
We stayed in the rooftop room for two nights and loved it. The room has an outdoor jacuzzi and offers a stunning mountain view to wake up to. It was both magical and deeply relaxing. Everything was spotless, and we truly enjoyed our stay. We’d gladly return if we’re ever in the area again. Special thanks to Kasha, who made our stay even easier and more comfortable. Note: If you’re visiting in winter, consider asking for preheating, as the room can take nearly a night to warm up in very cold conditions.
This hotel is at the top of the mountain. With some of the most amazing views anywhere. The rooms are rustic but very clean. We had a deck overlooking the valley and it is well worth the price. The restaurant food was some of the best we have had anywhere. The cook did a great job. Be aware it is a little bit of a climb to the hotel if you have large bags be ready. We would highly recommend this quaint little hotel to enjoy your mountain hikes. Or just a quick relaxing time in the mountains.
