One of the highest wooden bridges in Europe built over a 100m gorge
Unfortunately, it's now almost completely fenced off, so you can hardly see the bottom of the gorge. Regrettably, this bridge was known to people with suicidal intentions, which is why these precautions were necessary. There are safety nets not only on the bridge itself, but both sides of the gorge had to be made safe. The last time I was there was as a child, and back then the view into the gorge was breathtaking. Still, it's great that this bridge is still so well maintained.
It's a shame about the grilles, but understandable... remarkable craftsmanship, if you're nearby anyway, it's worth a look
The sad story is unfortunately the most interesting thing about this bridge :(( The depth of the gorge is impressive!
The gorge is impressive, as is the wooden construction of the bridge.
A bridge over a very deep ravine. Secured with nets to prevent suicides.
