This is a disreputable advertising leaflet that violates applicable law and thus harms not only residents but also the environment. Presumably, they employ cheap distributors for cost reasons, who are unfamiliar with Swiss law and the German language. A disgrace to the Swiss press.

Received an invoice for a supposedly ordered trial subscription (for the second time). I called the subscription service and was told I'd ordered a subscription over the phone. I explained that I never ordered one. It's like someone is calling and ordering subscriptions for other people? Or is this a new scam to sell subscriptions? Nothing in writing, hello data protection? The subscription was canceled, and there was no apology for the mistake... This was the second time, totally outrageous... Is this normal???

I get more local news from a café or hairdresser than from this newspaper, and it's usually more reliable than what you find in the Bote. Local clubs and associations are sidelined, while there's extensive coverage of things nobody cares about. Reports from the Bote itself read as if they didn't even bother to write them. I'm just glad this newspaper will die out, since no young person voluntarily subscribes to it. To be honest, this newspaper is a complete rip-off, and I feel sorry for the people who want to stay informed about the region but can't find anything worthwhile and have no alternative. Why this newspaper has so many stars is beyond me. Unfortunately, you have to give it one, but even that seems like too much for this rag, which is only good for the recycling bin.

Please create a new option for the BOTE DER URSCHWEIZ (Messenger of Original Switzerland). If there were an edition dedicated solely to local news, I see a chance for the survival of this "cheesy rag." This is my home, and here in the valley, I'm interested in what's going on! However, I—and many other readers—are tired of being bombarded daily with national and international fake news. Because that's exactly how all the mainstream media are digging their own graves! The best example of this is the American presidential election. Every child has known for a long time that Donald Trump would win by a landslide; only the established media wanted to convince us otherwise. I'VE HAD ENOUGH OF THIS "OPINION AND OBJECTION JOURNALISM." I still know what I want to think! I want to be informed INDEPENDENTLY and NEUTRALLY!!!
