I recently moved here, and I can only say it's a very impersonal and rude community compared to my last one. If I didn't have a reason to stay, I would return to my previous town immediately. Here, you realize you're just one of many, even if it's only during a phone call. I called because I hadn't received the correct provisional tax bill, and the person on the phone was audibly annoyed. It's understandable that someone might have a bad day, but that doesn't mean they can remain friendly and cheerful on the phone. Furthermore, the situation with public parking is outrageous. You buy a monthly parking permit, and even then, you're not always allowed to park there, despite having the permit. You don't know how long the parking spaces will be closed, and there aren't any other public parking options nearby. If the parking space is closed every time, it adds up very quickly, which is something a student simply can't afford. It's absurd that they can't even accommodate a resident of Seuzach; it shows a complete lack of interest from the municipality, even when someone contacts them personally, expresses their opinion, and communicates their concerns. Zero humanity.
I called the building authority for help at 3:00 p.m. on Friday afternoon. The answering machine said: Office closed. Ten minutes later, I received a call back from Ms. Sägesser, and another ten minutes later, she was on site. Our construction secretary, amidst me, the shouting bricklayer, and the 16th-century wattle and daub wall, took stock of the situation and professionally and competently explained the next steps to the architect, who had arrived in the meantime: Construction halted until experts had inspected, clarified, and approved the situation. Hats off, Ms. Sägesser!
You can't even get a parking permit for a work vehicle that isn't used privately. I don't understand that.
They are respectful, helpful, and kind. I wish them continued success.
Always friendly, courteous and, above all, competent.
Professional and accurate processing. Very polite and helpful staff.
