Riviera by Elio — Seestrasse 67, 3700 Spiez, Switzerland

I slept inside the beautiful **Hotel Riviera by Elio** on a peaceful, serene night. The atmosphere was calm and relaxing, making it the perfect place to rest. The next morning, I enjoyed a delicious breakfast, full of fresh and flavorful food that gave me energy for the day ahead. After breakfast, I went out to explore and visit **Spiez**, Switzerland. I walked through the charming streets, admired the stunning views of Lake Thun, and enjoyed the breathtaking scenery of the Swiss Alps. It was a wonderful experience discovering such a picturesque and peaceful town.

What a magical place to stay. Right on the peninsula in Spiez you hear the lapping water all night from your bed. Room was small but had all we needed. We were able to park right outside the hotel which is an added bonus and everyone is very accommodating.

Subtle racism? Likely! Just furious so I will skip to the reason for the 1 * rating. Wish I could do 0. So, we decided to have dinner at their Italian restaurant on one of the nights during our stay - okayish food for an Italian restaurant but worst part came after - bill was 50.50 CHF and I said I’ll pay directly instead of adding to room - the card machine was bought and I was just asked to tap with the amount hidden from me - on successful authorisation, waiter explains the total - 50.50 CHF bill and 5 CHF tips. I was not asked for if and what I want to pay. And neither was there any mention of mandatory tip aka coperta anywhere on the menu. So, do you do this for all guests? Or targeted towards folks who look a bit different from the rest? Overall hotel review: decent hotel. Could be cheaper compared to what we actually get. Location is good for views but not clear from all rooms.

This restaurant is gorgeous with arrogance and bad manners, the waiter was controlled by Sedan with discriminations to visitors and locals. If you wanna receive some bad feelings and bad poker face from the waiter that will be welcomed, if you want to have any good time please don’t go there because it’s hundred percent will be disgusted. Let the waiter to go some school to make sure it’s a qualified service provided store, this is very disgusting from Spiez, the one only bad memories, disappointed from what you behaving.

Beautiful lake side outdoor dining - in terms of atmosphere and experience you can't really ask for more. I arrived in the mid afternoon when a limited menu was being offered. I had a lasagna, which was fine. Visiting during the dinner hour I am sure the options would be more impressive. Nonetheless if visiting Spiez on a beautiful day I am sure I will be back.

The view at this restaurant is absolutely beautiful, and the food is delicious — we really enjoyed our meal overall. However, one of the staff members was extremely rude and dismissive. He ignored us multiple times even though he clearly saw us, and when he did speak to us, his attitude was unprofessional and disrespectful. Thankfully, another staff member was kind, polite, and very helpful, which made our experience a bit better. This place has great potential, but the service from that one rude employee really affected our experience
