We were a group of six staying at the hotel. From booking the place to our stay we had a great experience.|The staff is amazing and accommodating, the rooms are very comfortable, the restaurant is very popular and you eat very well. Local food and great ambiance. I can only recommend this hotel and restaurant.
We booked for an overnight getaway, based on reviews/recommendations and photos, and we were not disappointed. The staff was always communicative and attentive, and the food was tip top. They offer many local wines which are very reasonably priced and complement the food nicely. For dinner my partner and I shared the Chateaubriand, which was cooked perfectly. For starters my husband ordered the ginger soup, and I ordered the Riesling soup, which is a regional specialty - both were excellent. We were too full for dessert, but the cappuccino and complimentary chocolate morsels were a perfect end to the sumptuous meal. As an American living in Switzerland, I can say that the hosts are very kind and welcoming to tourists and expats. You can trust them to guide you on food-wine pairings, level of doneness for meats, etc. They also observe Covid protocols closely, which is a great comfort. The building is beautiful, and there’s plenty of free parking. Our cozy room was clean, with a private bathroom. The bed was comfortable, with luxurious down comforters and feather pillows. The prices for food and accommodations are extremely reasonable, considering the high quality of service. The owner oversees everything down to the last detail, and nothing is overlooked. We would love to return!
Awesome food, just awesome. Seasonal and very local focus and a lot organic products. Lovely decorated plates. Regional wine from their own grapes. Our service was just perfect - welcoming happy, friendly and attentive.

Has wonderful local specialities, good selection, a true delight in every way. All dishes were well cooked together with great presentation Would recommend this Restuarant to everyone with a deserving pallet. Most enjoyable in every way.
Its nice on business to have a quiet, comfortable, friendly and not to mention excellent meals. Regularly visit Hirschen with my American/British colleagues for its reliable and delicious menus. Nice to be in a real family hotel not a chain!
