This foundation provides housing, living space, and social facilities for people with hearing impairments. Among other things, it operates a carpentry shop that also carries out custom work of excellent quality and at reasonable prices. We had our bookshelves made there, for example. It's fantastic! We also regularly shop at the nursery and shop. The castle itself is also – alongside the church – one of Turbenthal's landmarks.
A wonderful institution for deaf people, the Deaf Village. The village shop offers many fantastic handmade products made by the residents. The garden is also a lovely place to relax. A variety of snacks and drinks are available in the cafeteria.
I bought some beautiful plants for my patio there. They have a good selection of balcony and bedding plants, seedlings, and accessories inside. Shopping in this market-like courtyard and the lovely adjoining building is a pleasure. Good value for money. I'll definitely be back.
I only bought plants (tomatoes and various summer flowers), as I do every year. Everything was great, especially the advice and service. But it's just a bit too expensive, especially the plants that aren't grown in-house. I see the profit as a donation to the foundation, then it's okay.
A very nice facility for people with hearing or speech impairments. It has a beautiful nursery that they acquired directly and a village shop selling the foundation's various products. The Krisistei heating pads are highly recommended!
Amazing work is being done here... by both the residents and the staff. And all this in a beautiful setting, open to everyone to get involved! P.S.: My favorite is the woodworking shop. They deliver top-quality products.
