Thanks to this bank, I found a couple of other good alternatives for private customers. I went to this branch in the middle of a work day and hours to enquire about banking bundles and opening new account. They said they didn't have anyone available, which is understandable as I had simply walked in without any appointment. They then graciously gave me an appointment of about 8 days later. I understand, getting new customers is not a priority for all banks. So, I went again on the date and time of the appointment with my documents. But this time they couldn't quite figure out how to turn me away, so they gave me a combination of "we dont have anyone available right now", "our systems are down, not sure when they will be up again" and "you can open the account online and come here just for document verification" reasons. So this time I got the message loud and clear and thanks to this, I did some actual reading/googling and have found a couple of other options which seem much more convenient which is great as they seem to support English too for their website/apps, which works really well for my needs as I am just at A1 level in my German course.
