Excellent. Knowledgeable, helpful, and good value. I have used this shop for 15 or so years, fitting out a couple of houses with A/V over this time. This is the "go to" place in Zurich.

A truly unique shop, or rather workshop. Thierry Mayer is an engineer and tinkerer, and that passion is immediately apparent upon visiting. To anyone who might think this optimization "stuff" is just hocus-pocus and ineffective, just try it out. Thierry is happy to let you take Optimize Audio home to test. He wouldn't do this if it didn't work and he wasn't convinced of its benefits. It certainly convinced me 100%.
I stumbled upon Mr. Mayer's services while researching "sound optimization," as I was actually just looking to improve my room acoustics... but sometimes life's serendipity adds a special touch ;) First off: Speakers: Focal Spectral 40 Amplifier: Atoll IN 300 I'd like to elaborate a bit here to offer some guidance to anyone interested or skeptical. At first, I couldn't quite grasp what Audiophil Dreams was all about, what exactly the measures involved, and most importantly: how the sound could be improved. Naturally, I was rather skeptical at first... But I contacted Mr. Mayer, and he made several suggestions and convinced me to try one of them. (Please always consult with Mr. Mayer beforehand to determine which steps are advisable.) Step 1: Applying anti-smog adhesive. I can recommend this to anyone who isn't yet entirely confident in this area, as the investment is quite manageable. And lo and behold, there was a noticeable improvement, and I was amazed. So, after consulting with Mr. Mayer, I repeatedly implemented smaller adjustments, and each time there was an improvement. Finally, I decided to have a full optimization performed by Mr. Mayer. So, I made an appointment, loaded up my speakers, and drove to Mr. Mayer's place. We spent the entire day working on it, step by step, improving the Spectral speakers until the evening, and the result is simply phenomenal! You'd have to dig deep into your pockets for a speaker like this off the shelf (roughly the level of a Utopia). So, to make a long story short, I hope I've convinced some of you that Mr. Mayer's work is unique and invaluable to the entire hi-fi community. Thank you for your work and your research, Mr. Mayer! I'll gladly come back when it's time to optimize the rest of my components... :)
It's wonderful that there are still hi-fi dealers like Thierry Mayer who live their profession with passion and are never too proud to go the extra mile. The result of his tuning measures is simply stunning and incomparable, even if some of his methods might seem unorthodox – but the result speaks for itself. Anyone who wants to get the absolute maximum out of their system simply can't ignore Mayer and his expertise (or can they, but then it's their own fault...). With audiophile regards, Roland Pfenninger
I found Audiophile Dreams online. As an engineer and tinkerer, Thiery Mayer is the brilliant mind behind this company. On my first visit to his workshop, more like a sound studio, I knew within a few minutes that I had found something extraordinary. Mr. Mayer celebrates sound optimization without reservation. On my second visit, I was able to witness live how my Linn DS (2013) underwent a sound treatment. After each application of an anti-resonator or anti-smog adhesive, the soundstage became noticeably better. Also worth mentioning is that he has a solution for every budget. His expertise, customer service, advice, and everything related to the audiophile hobby is very impressive. I will be happy to continue to take my music system to new heights with Mr. Mayer, or rather, to sonic heights.
