Very good move. Nothing broken or missing. After custom only 4 days to receive
Amazing service from start to finish. We started the process early, which meant that Adrian had to put up with our numerous questions over a long period. He was professional, helpful, patient and reassuring. The packing up went smoothly and we received our shipment in the time frame that was promised. The final price was fair and reasonable. Swiss Moving provided the best moving services we've had. This was our 4th move to a different country. It's never an easy task but Swiss Moving makes it hassle-free. Thanks.
I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Mr. Adrian Hinder for his exceptional kindness, efficiency, sense of urgency, and professionalism. He is, without a doubt, a remarkable professional who provides invaluable support during relocation processes, offering peace of mind and confidence every step of the way. Thank you very much, Mr. Hinder, for all your assistance. I would not hesitate to recommend your services and will certainly reach out to you again if needed.
We had our shipment from Japan to Switzerland. A whole host of issues with them. 1) estimate completely wrong: company estimated that we would have a certain amount for shipping, and then when the invoice arrived, have invoiced us for approximately 60% more space. Poor estimates and poor service when trying to discuss this 2) rude staff members; constant rudeness throughout whole process 3) poor shipping - around 5% of our shipment is damaged or ruined. We have used many companies before and this is by FAR the worst We would not recommend this company to anyone and happy to discuss with anyone planning to use them about why they should not. This alongside their Japanese partner company are not shipping companies you should ever use
We relocated recently from Switzerland to Australia. We thought Swiss Moving Service Ltd (SMS Ltd) would provide Swiss quality when we shipped our personal effects with them. We clearly got the wrong end of the stick! Swiss Moving Services Ltd is a small business that tries to do international removals. Therefore, SMS Ltd broadly depends on changing partners and you may never know who actually handles your shipping. Thus, our personal effects were picked up by a partner business of SMS Ltd. Except the SMS-shirt that the two men wore, nothing reminded that we actually hired SMS Ltd and not a random removalist. What was awkward was that only one of the men knew how to handle furniture and other stuff as the other man clearly needed a fair bit of instruction. SMS Ltd must have opted here for a cheap subcontractor. From the moment we touched ground in Australia, SMS Ltd dropped off the radar. Nobody felt responsible for the delivery of our personal effects from the storehouse to our new home. Not surprisingly, a massive delay occurred! When we finally lodged a formal complaint the situation got even more bizarre. Swiss Moving Service Ltd (which we hired!) put the blame on the partner business and the partner business put the blame on SMS Ltd. Of course, nothing of it helped to sort out the situation. After countless phone calls and e-mails, we eventually got hold of our personal effects. Long story short, we would never ever hire Swiss Moving Services Ltd again. SMS Ltd was unreliable, unhelpful and clearly did not seem to care about a happy customer.
A few months back, my husband and I decided to relocate from Switzerland (Neuchâtel) to Boston, USA, and we contacted a few European companies to do our move. We had few different options, but the one that caught our eye the most was Swiss Moving Services; very responsive with questions, and local to Switzerland (where we were moving from), which made it easier. Worst decision we took! And, let me be specific, they WEREN’T the cheapest -at all -. I believe the person who had been our contact until then went on vacation. So, we had somebody else replace him. Fluent communication stopped at the moment they picked up our things, which made us very nervous. All the information we had after this, was after us requesting it (and following up). Our container was stuck in their warehouse for more than 5 weeks. When flagged to them that our expectations, as in our quote, was that our container would take 6 to 8 weeks to be delivered -and it was still in Switzerland! - they told us, badly, that was written in their quote was “from their warehouse”. Yeah, maybe, but nobody mentioned us that, that they would stay the same amount of time in their warehouse. How would we know!? It wasn’t stated in our quote either that nobody would tell us where our things were, that we would need to beg for information. That when we would send an email stating that we weren’t happy with their service, they’d just ignore it. Our stuff shipped from Europe 6 weeks after they picked it up. 6 weeks our stuff was just in warehouse 2 hours away our home in Europe. We FINALLY received our things yesterday. It took them 77 days to deliver our things. That makes it 2 MONTH AND A HALF. If you were wondering if our expectations were wrong: In their website is clearly written that Europe to North America is 6-8 weeks – door to door-. If they had told us initially that I would take that long, that would have been fine. We could have planned for it (take some more winter clothes and warmer jackets, some extra kitchen utilities, etc). But they never did. And we are fully aware that legally they are protected (yes, it was written in the contract that it was 5 weeks since their warehouse), but who would believe that is economically efficient - for them - to keep it 5 weeks there? But some customer-care wouldn’t have hurt. Besides all of this, what bothered me the most wasn’t their incompetence. It was the way they treated us from the moment our things were picked up. At certain point, they even told my husband that I “didn’t understand what how international moves work”. This is my third international move. But, if I was a logistics expert, I wouldn’t have worked with them. That’s for sure! And, basically, you do NOT speak badly of your customers (to their partners!)
