If you’re someone who loves nature and is fascinated by cows, sheep, horses, and the charm of farm life, this is the perfect place for you! During my stay, the weather was rainy and overcast, but it didn’t take away from the beauty of the lush green surroundings. The room was very spacious, spotless, and fully equipped — at this price, it’s hard to find anything this affordable with such quality in Switzerland! I didn’t mind the occasional scent of animals downstairs — to me, it felt authentic and comforting. Once the hallway door upstairs is closed, there’s no smell at all in the room. Breakfast was lovely, with fresh bread, milk, and local cheese thoughtfully prepared by the friendly host. I’ll definitely come back, hopefully with good weather :)
Wonderful stay- the landscape is gorgeous, the room spacious, the price very reasonable. Sitting in the garden beside this fabulous traditional farmhouse is a real treat. We got to see lots of animals on the farm (and learn about conscientious farming), and play with the outdoor toys and the adorable dogs and cats. The hosts were very welcoming and friendly and all around lovely people. It is a comfortable walk to the Schaukäserei down the road, where we spent a fun afternoon. Really enjoyed our stay here!
Trully wonderful experience - we stayed there overnight and regretted not booking for longer! The farm is located on idyllic green hills of Emmental, in a quiet area surrounded by fields and forests. Yet it's easily accessible by car and in a walking distance (15 mins) from the famous Emmentaler cheese's birthplace. Rooms and the shared bathroom were spotlessly clean. The owner serves breakfast in their own home next door and it was delicious - with locally sourced, high quality products (incl. homemade jams and honey). Our kids loved peeking into the barn and they were welcomed to "help" with cows and piglets. We'll definitely be coming back and for longer!
Beautiful farm hotel, with very welcome and friendly owners. And the dog friendly aswell. Definitely we have to come back here.
