I had a single room for two weeks with a two day business trip in the middle of my stay. The room was very comfortable, and the bed first rate. I have an arthritic back but I slept comfortably each night. The food was excellent. Martina, …
Our home base during the Lauterbrunnen portion of our honeymoon; Hotel Berghaus was a marvelous and magical place to stay. Nestled in amongst some of the most stellar scenery in the world, Berghaus offers a wonderful combination of comfort …
We stayed at the hotel for five days and found it a great Swiss experience. It started with meeting Martina the proprietor. She was very friendly and informative. She had many helpful suggestions of what to do. She also explained a great …
This is a small family run hotel, less than 10 minutes walk from the train station. It has stunning views from the front rooms over the valley and the mountains. We had a corner room which had two balconies, very nice to sit out on. The room was very comfortable and clean, and was serviced daily. I loved the fact the bathroom had two sinks. Breakfast was truly excellent, with lots of choices of fresh fruit, fresh breads, home made jam, etc. The owner was at reception most of the time and was really helpful with local recommendations, and any other questions. The staff all really made us feel at home. We stayed here for a week, and would definitely return again.
We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Berghaus! The location is perfect- close to all the restaurants, gondola, and train, as well as to the hiking paths and Alpine cowbells. Martina is the BEST host- so thoughtful and kind. This place felt like home. Beautiful views of the mountains, and a delicious breakfast. We will return!
My wife and I stayed at Berghaus hotel and it was a perfect fit for what we were looking for- a small, family-run hotel, with clean rooms and great food. The host was super helpful telling us what to see (and what to avoid) and she had a good sense of humor. To set expectations- this is not a luxury hotel and the standard rooms are Swiss-sized (not American sized). It is a very clean, well-maintained, comfortable and efficient stay. They served gluten free food, and had a breakfast and dinner loaded with hyper-local ingredients (butter from the nearby alpine farmer, homemade jam, bread from the town bakery, etc). We would definitely come back.
