Ziegelbrücke Station This small station on the St. Gallen side of the Linth River serves as the gateway to Glarus and Graubünden, as well as the starting point for Lake Walen. Consistently good connections to and from various public transport options make Ziegelbrücke Station a small but excellent hub. A restroom and a "Avec" (a public transport stop) are available, and the layout is otherwise very straightforward.
The woman at the counter in the travel center was completely incompetent. There were two customers ahead of us, both wanting to buy a ticket. She spent about 20-30 minutes on each customer and couldn't properly help either of them. She was also extremely slow and unmotivated. We were there to exchange money into Swiss francs, or more precisely, Turkish lira. She had to count the money about six times, was constantly distracted, and still miscounted in the end. She was the only person at the counter, with a trainee behind her. She very loudly gave him her MFA code, which is her personal code for logging into an SBB account, TWICE. This is not only unprofessional but also puts her account at risk, as people could log in with it if they were careful enough. Overall, she was unfriendly, distracted, on her phone, and unprofessional. She can't count money properly, can't even use the SBB app or website correctly, nothing. It can't be right that you have to wait over an hour just to be ripped off. I do NOT recommend going there unless you're prepared for an extremely long wait. And count your money beforehand so you don't get scammed.
Many thanks to the SBB employees who found my lost luggage and called me first thing in the morning so I could pick it up quickly.
All trains are always on time. There are parking spaces for both cars and bicycles. There is also a small shop.
I didn't find any pet recycling disposal point on the way from the train to the bus! What a shame!
