The good: Although the room was quite small, it was nicely decorated, it was very clean, the bed was very comfy and the bathroom had Nuxe products. Breakfast was good with a decent variety of hot and cold options. Reception staff was very friendly. The bad: The rooms have basically 0 soundproofing, we could hear everything both from outside and from the hallway. The spa has a lot of wasted potential, there is absolutely no way you can relax while there are children screaming in the pool. The entire spa should be adults-only starting 18:00 and be open until 21:00, so that guests of all ages can actually enjoy it. There were towels and cups left everywhere, the floor around the pool was constantly flooded (we saw several people slipping and almot falling), staff only came in once to tidy up a bit and that's it. The dry sauna outside has no mention if it's nude or textile version, and some guests weren't even aware that they need a towel. And of course no staff comes to check if everything is ok. The hotel also lacks the typical Swiss hospitality: although we paid over 1200 CHF for two nights, we didn't even get a welcome drink or a personalised note or even a small chocolate, especially considering that it was also Valentine's weekend. Clearly management ia not doing a good job nor does it care about guests.

This hotel was perfect for our New Years week away. Even before we arrived I emailed with requests of our rooms and the response was immediate. On arrival at the hotel the welcome was lovely and all the staff in every area of this hotel …

Firstly, love the town and the people. All the workers were great, friendly, helpful. Skiing destination here is incredible. Everything in walking distance in this car-free village. The drinking water fountain downstairs has great tasting glacial water. Excellent Ski room to dry/ store your equipment. Walk to the train or lifts, ski on a blue trail to a short 2 minute walk back to the hotel. Breakfast is a nice touch, but nothing extraordinary, a traditional continental breakfast that had bacon, sausage, egg, and rosti. However, we paid around $600 USD/ night for the hotel in early February and a few things to note: - Booked a family room for us three, and it was very small. Tiny bathroom, foyer sized living room/seating area (around 8 x 10ft Maybe smaller? with a 1/3 of it having the stairs block it) and overall extremely cramped. Heat was very hard to dial in, and the blankets were tiny, if your 6ft + it's annoying to sleep with them. - Sauna/ Pool close at 8pm, which is odd because once you get off the slopes and have dinner, that's 8pm. If you get off the slopes and do sauna then Dinner, well most restaurants/ kitchens close between 7-9pm. That said sauna is clean and super hot. No cold plunge, indoor pool is warmed. - Noise ordinances not enforced. There is bar nearby, and walls are super thin. It gets loud here and there which was a bit of a surprise since Switzerland has extremely strict noise ordinances.
