Álvaro ti porta in una baita in alta montagna e ti introduce all'antica arte dell'intaglio del legno. Fornisce la giusta quantità di indicazioni in modo che il prodotto finale sia la tua creazione, qualcosa da portare a casa come bellissimo ricordo del maestoso paesaggio e del calore degli altri esseri umani.

L'anno scorso ho frequentato un laboratorio di intaglio del legno su consiglio di un amico e ho apprezzato moltissimo l'esperienza dall'inizio alla fine. Prenotare è stato facile, lo spazio è affascinante e la calda ospitalità e la gentile guida di Alvaro hanno reso il tutto davvero memorabile. Consiglio vivamente di prenotare un seminario, è ottimo per singoli e gruppi che cercano un'esperienza coinvolgente ma meditativa e sicura.

We had such a great spoon decoration workshop at Alvaro's Gallery! The location is just perfectly located in the center of Engelberg and has a wonderfully charming and inviting atmosphere. We started with a short introduction to the carving and coffee coloring techniques and then started with practicing our patterns on paper. When we felt ready, we could start with drawing on our wooden spoons and start the decoration process. After tracing our decorations with a knive, we had to rub coffee into the cuts to make them more visible. It was a lot of fun to have a creative session together and learn about the techniques. We were all super happy with the results and were even sad that we did not have time to stay longer to improve our designs further. I would definitely recommend this workshop, but can imagine that Alvaro's other workshops are also worth to try out! He did a great job in showing us how to work and was very easy to communicate with so we could tailor the workshop to our needs and time.

Alvaro offered us, me and my 7 year old godchild, wonderful two hours of carving. He accompanied the boy very attentive, how he works with the knife and showed him skills. Proudly the boy presented at home his self carfed mushroom and his newly learned skills! I also enjoyed the for me new handcraft. The price is more than generous. Thank you Alvaro! 🙏

Great experience carving a beautiful spoon from from a chunk of quality wood. A lot of work over hours went into creating this, it was very humbling and beautiful =) I highly recommend all workshops from Alvaro!
