We had a bad experience with UMS services. The subtenants that they found for our apartment breached the contract on multiple levels (unauthorized cats, cats caused damages to our furniture and the apartment was not cleaned afterwards as stipulated in the contracted). We agree that UMS could not help the actions of the subtenants, but UMS were unable to hold them accountable to the consequences of the contract. UMS tried to reach the subtenants after the rental period, but the subtenants chose not to respond to the emails. This meant that we received no payment from the subtenants for the damaged furniture and stolen things in our home. We also had the extra insurance package but that did not help either. This is unacceptable. UMS told us that they cannot help us legally because they do not have a legal team. In our experience, there is no point in using UMS Services if they can’t hold people accountable to the contacts that UMS themselves create. We will not be using their services again nor would we recommend them.
