Von außen unscheinbar, wäre dies kein Hotel, das ich gewählt hätte, wenn es nicht die Empfehlung eines Freundes gegeben hätte. Ich bin so froh, dass ich das gemacht habe! Erstens war der Service großartig. Alle waren freundlich und das Personal an der Rezeption hat sich um uns gekümmert – von den Liftkarten über die Frage, wie man Plätze bekommt oder was man unternehmen kann, bis hin zu Änderungen unserer Reservierung – sie haben alles mit einem Lächeln erledigt. Die Zimmer waren euromodern, makellos und gut ausgestattet. Das Restaurant war gut (wenn Sie in die mit einem Michelin-Stern ausgezeichnete Option „1910“ einsteigen möchten, buchen Sie rechtzeitig im Voraus!). Der Ausblick aus der Lobby machte Lust darauf, die Nachmittage damit zu verbringen, einen Aperol Spritz zu schlürfen und den Eiger oder die Skifahrer zu betrachten, die zwischen den Chalets am Berg hin und her schlendern.
Ich hatte einen fantastischen Aufenthalt im Belvedere Hotel in Grindelwald! Susanne Häuser, die Besitzerin, ist wirklich fantastisch. Alle Mitarbeiter sind unglaublich freundlich und aufmerksam, sodass ich mich wie zu Hause fühle. Das Essen im Restaurant ist außergewöhnlich – jede Mahlzeit war ein Genuss! Ich kann dieses Hotel jedem wärmstens empfehlen, der einen wundervollen Kurzurlaub verbringen möchte.
War eine schöne Reise. Das Wasser war sauber, der Ort war äußerst unglaublich. Wir genossen den Blick auf den Eiger und das Treiben in Greendelwalt. Alle Dienstleistungen waren freundlich und das Essen war auch gut.
Our stay at Hotel Belvedere in Grindelwald was truly unforgettable and easily one of our best travel experiences. We stayed in a top-floor room, and the views were simply breathtaking. From our room, we enjoyed uninterrupted panoramic views of the Swiss Alps, waking up each morning to snow-capped peaks and golden light spilling across the mountains. It felt like a postcard come to life. The hotel’s location is perfect—just a short walk from the station, making it incredibly convenient for day trips and onward journeys around the region. Despite the central location, the hotel feels peaceful and luxurious. Check-in was smooth and welcoming, setting the tone for the rest of our stay. A special thank you to Yanna, who provided an excellent check-in experience and shared wonderful suggestions on things to do in and around Grindelwald. She, along with the rest of the team, was exceptionally polite, warm, and helpful throughout our stay. The lobby and bar deserve special mention. The lobby offers stunning views that you can enjoy even before heading out for the day, and the bar is beautifully designed—chic, cozy, and perfect for relaxing after a day in the mountains. The highlight, however, was the spa and outdoor heated pool. Swimming in the warm pool while snow was falling around us was magical and something we will never forget. It was the perfect blend of luxury and alpine charm. Overall, Hotel Belvedere exceeded our expectations in every way—from the views and location to the service and amenities. We would absolutely return and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Grindelwald.
We enjoyed our stay here. The room was clean and the hotel is only about a 5 minute walk to the train station so we really enjoyed that. The hotel staff was friendly. The food at the restaurant was delicious! The gondola was also really cute. We made reservations to eat there on Valentine’s Day.
The Belvedere is an outstanding, family-run hotel: super comfortable, with excellent facilities and wonderful service, but completely unpretentious. I think I relax there more than in any other hotel in which I have stayed. It is perfectly located in Grindelwald near the town railway station and on the 121 bus route to the Terminal and First gondola stations. The views of the Eiger, Wetterhorn and Schreckhorn are stunning. Rooms are spotless, comfortable and warm with lots of storage. There is a lovely bar and lounge with free soup in the afternoons, and the pool/wellness centre is excellent. The pool is big enough for serious swimmers. The restaurant is great for breakfast or dinner, and there are Michelin star and fondue options (the latter in cute converted former gondola cars) too. Staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. There is nice live music every night. I cannot recommend it warmly enough.
