Sans prétention de l'extérieur, ce n'était pas un hôtel que j'aurais choisi sans la recommandation d'un ami. Je suis tellement content de l'avoir fait ! Tout d'abord, le service était génial. Tout le monde était sympathique et le personnel de la réception s'est occupé de nous - des billets de remontées mécaniques à la manière de se rendre ou de quoi faire, en passant par les modifications de notre réservation - ils ont tout fait avec le sourire. Les chambres étaient euro-modernes, impeccables et bien aménagées. Le restaurant était bon (si vous voulez entrer dans leur option étoilée Michelin, 1910, réservez longtemps à l'avance !). La vue sur le hall vous donnait envie de passer vos après-midi à siroter un Aperol Spritz et à contempler l'Eiger ou les skieurs se frayant un chemin entre les chalets à flanc de montagne.
J'ai passé un séjour formidable à l'hôtel Belvedere à Grindelwald ! Susanne Häuser, la propriétaire, est vraiment fantastique. Tous les employés sont incroyablement gentils et attentifs, je me sens comme chez moi. La cuisine du restaurant est exceptionnelle : chaque repas était un délice ! Je recommande vivement cet hôtel à tous ceux qui recherchent une merveilleuse escapade.
c'était un bon voyage. l'eau était propre, le site était extrêmement incroyable. nous avons apprécié la vue sur l'Eiger et l'activité de Greendelwalt. Tous les services étaient gentils et la nourriture était également bonne.
Our stay at Hotel Belvedere in Grindelwald was truly unforgettable and easily one of our best travel experiences. We stayed in a top-floor room, and the views were simply breathtaking. From our room, we enjoyed uninterrupted panoramic views of the Swiss Alps, waking up each morning to snow-capped peaks and golden light spilling across the mountains. It felt like a postcard come to life. The hotel’s location is perfect—just a short walk from the station, making it incredibly convenient for day trips and onward journeys around the region. Despite the central location, the hotel feels peaceful and luxurious. Check-in was smooth and welcoming, setting the tone for the rest of our stay. A special thank you to Yanna, who provided an excellent check-in experience and shared wonderful suggestions on things to do in and around Grindelwald. She, along with the rest of the team, was exceptionally polite, warm, and helpful throughout our stay. The lobby and bar deserve special mention. The lobby offers stunning views that you can enjoy even before heading out for the day, and the bar is beautifully designed—chic, cozy, and perfect for relaxing after a day in the mountains. The highlight, however, was the spa and outdoor heated pool. Swimming in the warm pool while snow was falling around us was magical and something we will never forget. It was the perfect blend of luxury and alpine charm. Overall, Hotel Belvedere exceeded our expectations in every way—from the views and location to the service and amenities. We would absolutely return and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Grindelwald.
We enjoyed our stay here. The room was clean and the hotel is only about a 5 minute walk to the train station so we really enjoyed that. The hotel staff was friendly. The food at the restaurant was delicious! The gondola was also really cute. We made reservations to eat there on Valentine’s Day.
The Belvedere is an outstanding, family-run hotel: super comfortable, with excellent facilities and wonderful service, but completely unpretentious. I think I relax there more than in any other hotel in which I have stayed. It is perfectly located in Grindelwald near the town railway station and on the 121 bus route to the Terminal and First gondola stations. The views of the Eiger, Wetterhorn and Schreckhorn are stunning. Rooms are spotless, comfortable and warm with lots of storage. There is a lovely bar and lounge with free soup in the afternoons, and the pool/wellness centre is excellent. The pool is big enough for serious swimmers. The restaurant is great for breakfast or dinner, and there are Michelin star and fondue options (the latter in cute converted former gondola cars) too. Staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. There is nice live music every night. I cannot recommend it warmly enough.
